Left out!

Peculiar

Our skins are of different colours
And we speak a different tongue
Raised in different countries,
Brought up in different cultures
They see us and they wonder
Who are these people
What makes them one
A people so diverse, so different
Not reckoned among the nations
Yes indeed a peculiar nation
... redeemed by the blood of the lamb.

"Num 23:9-10 For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations. Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his! "

They think of us as left out, yet they are mistaken. Really, we are called out. Thank you for a fine poem.

I am "getting around" today it seems; finding all manner of special treats.

I never realized so many Christians posted their poetry online. I'm glad to see there are so many (some balance for all the "issue" blogs out there).

Many of my poems relate to particular scriptures. I notice you include scriptural references in yours, do you suggest that as a good approach?

"Nothinghypothetical"
There is nothing better than adding God's word.
Those who read will know for sure what God Himself has said.
It will also help them to know where in the word of God it is written so.
so on and so forth .... :-)

Thanks for pointing out my mistakes on my writing last week for my magpie.

I wrote 2nd part, paid attention to my verbs, still imperfect, but tried harder this time.

your blog is fresh and lovely.

keep up the excellence.
